TAWG is the difference between spiritual strength and weakness.\u00a0 TAWG can take a\u00a0good preacher\/teacher and make him something much more.\u00a0 TAWG will largely determine whether you succeed or fail in ministry.\u00a0 You can learn every preparation and preaching technique ever devised by man but if you ignore TAWG, you just failed. \u00a0Prepare both the message AND the man!\u00a0 You prepare the message through study.\u00a0 You prepare the man through “T<\/span>ime A<\/span>lone W<\/span>ith G<\/span>od.”<\/p>\n

\"\"While in seminary, I attended a fellowship led by a very high profile pastor.\u00a0 He was nationally known.\u00a0 Though noted for his incredible preaching style and dynamic delivery, it soon became obvious that\u00a0genuine TAWG was lacking.\u00a0 I admit that I was caught up in that electrified environment.\u00a0 For a time, it\u00a0was an incredible place to be!\u00a0 However,\u00a0the height of excitement\u00a0plummeted into sickening scandal.\u00a0 That’s the thing about TAWG; you can come clean before Him, or you can be exposed by Him.<\/p>\n

Allow me\u00a0to suggest a few reasons why you should stop everything else you are doing and make whatever adjustments are necessary to\u00a0incorporate TAWG into every single day. (Go ahead, retrieve your copy of God’s word and look up the passages indicated.\u00a0 It will\u00a0be a good start!)<\/em><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 God is calling, “Where are you?”<\/h4>\n

Are you too busy for him?\u00a0 Are you hiding from him?\u00a0 Genesis 3:9-10<\/em><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 God is the source of a Believer’s power.<\/h4>\n

If you are not living plugged-in to God, who is your power source?\u00a0 Isaiah 40:31<\/em><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 God is in control of your ministry, not you.<\/h4>\n

Can you reasonably\u00a0ask his blessing on your ministry\u00a0when your heart is far from him?\u00a0 Acts 8:18-22<\/em><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 God has established the laws of sowing and reaping.<\/h4>\n

You are included.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Galatians 6:7<\/em><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 God has a habit of pulling back the curtain on your life.<\/h4>\n

It did not\u00a0do the Wizard of Oz any good\u00a0to say, “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.”\u00a0 It won’t do you any good either.\u00a0 Luke 12:1-3<\/em><\/p>\n
